The author is a veterinarian with more than forty years experience in academia and practice.
After fourteen years working in London and Liverpool Universities in England, the Moredun Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the University of California at Davis, he entered general practice. He has been a small animal clinician in New York state and Florida for more than twenty-eight years.
His stories and articles have been published in numerous magazines including Horse and Hound, Dog World, Animal Review, Animal World, and Veterinary Technician. He currently writes a monthly veterinary column for a community newsletter.
